Description
Part of the Oundle International Festival, this first Oundle Food Festival will be taking place in and around the Market Square in Oundle on Saturday 17th July from 8.30am to 2.30pm.
- Taste fresh quality food as it really should be
- Meet the people who grow, nurture and produce real food
- Tastings from chefs who will be demonstrating what they can do with some of the wonderful ingredients available from the Market
- Enjoy street music, buskers, activities for children , and lots more
A wonderful opportunity to get your picnic ingredients for the Fireworks Concert!
A number of special events will be taking place during the Food Festival including:
- Question Time - Bunny Guinness, from Gardeners' Question Time, and Ursula Buchan, garden writer for the Telegraph and The Garden magazine, will be here to answer your questions on growing vegetables.
- Breadmaking Master Class - Baking guru Dan Lepard will be leading two workshops on breadmaking. Booking is required for these workshops and tickets are limited.
- Chocolate Tasting - Rachel from Palmers Chocolates will be running a free chocolate tasting. Booking is essential as numbers are limited.
- Childrens Potting Shed - Drop into the children's workshop in the Market Place - learn how vegetables are grown from seeds, plant some to take home, and then go round the stalls to taste and smell the fully grown produce
